Ceili Night

Since 2005, the New York Irish Center has been host to the activities of Craobh Úll Mór CCÉ ~ literally, the “Big Apple Branch” of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann, an international organization dedicated to the preservation and enjoyment of Irish traditional music, dance, language, song and culture. 

Our events are open to the public and family-friendly:

Monthly céilí & house party on the 4th Saturday of the month from September through July at 8pm, featuring Ceol na gCroí Céilí Band. There is a set dance class at 7pm. Bean a tí, Maureen Donachie.

Immediatly prior to the ceilí - a Monthly Rang Gaeilge (Irish language class) is sometimes given by Maura Mulligan and Ed Shevlin, Treoraíthe na Gaeilge.

We occasionally sponsor concerts and workshops, as well.
