New York Irish Center

One Stop, Five Minutes

From Grand Central on the 7 train

Coming From Manhattan, and beyond
The New York Irish Center is located in Queens, just one subway stop from Grand Central Station on the 7 train. (Vernon-Jackson stop). If you are coming by car, we're just around the corner from the exit of the Midtown Tunnel, and close by is the 59th Street Bridge.

Coming from Queens and Long Island
By car take the Long Island Expressway to the last exit before the Midtown Tunnel.  If you're coming by train from Long Island, the LIRR stops just three blocks away (Hunters Point Avenue).  If you're coming by subway from other parts of Queens, the number 7 subway line runs right through Flushing, Jackson Heights, Woodside and Sunnyside on its way to us. (Vernon-Jackson stop)

We are at 10-40 Jackson Avenue.

NOTE: The New York City Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) continues to insist on disrupting the weekend 7 service for extended periods, to allow for track work.  While we understand the difficulties faced when scheduling such work, we feel the MTA could be more considerate of the high level of weekend activities in our area, and especially at our Center.  Alternative shuttle bus service is available.
