Cian O’Maidin is the founder and CEO of software developer NearForm. NearForm has ushered in COVID-19 contact-tracing apps that have been adopted by states including New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and more. NearForm also worked closely with the Irish government to fast track the app’s development for use across the Republic of Ireland. He joins acclaimed writer and journalist Sadhbh Walshe to discuss the origins of NearForm, the company’s leadership in designing these contact tracing apps, and the beauty of open source.
