The annual celebration of revolutionary modernist writer, James Joyce, occurs every June 16, the day on which Leopold Bloom meanders through Dublin in the modernist epic Ulysses.
Our Golden Footprints theatre group, directed and led by the venerable Jo Kinsella, will perform some set pieces from some of James Joyce’s most memorable works, Ulysses and The Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man. Accompanied by traditional Irish music from the likes of Luke Kelly and The Dubliners, it’s a day spent in thrall of the artists who set the standard of artistry found in Ireland.
