Join the New York Irish Center for an evening of revelry and performance as John Kearns presents his brand-new novel, Worlds, with Sophie Colgan as MC, appearances by Annalisa Chamberlin and Brendan Walsh, and a performance from Donie Carroll.
Worlds depicts four generations of the Logan family from Ireland in 1870 to New York City in 1998. In a mosaic of episodes arranged by theme, "Worlds" portrays a family through poetic shards of narrative. Through the lens of the Seven Deadly Sins/Lively Virtues, Worlds examines four generations of Logans.
"Poet, playwright, and one-time host/producer of the best literary salon in New York City, John Kearns has written a novel for the ages. It takes you from Mayo (God Help Us) to New Orleans (God damn us), from Philadelphia Freedom to the achievement of the Good Friday Agreement on a wild rambunctious ride to the sulphurous beats of African-Irish-America, with one of the most diverse cast of characters you might ever hope to run into this side of Kiltimagh. Buy it or steal it but definitely read Worlds!" -- Larry Kirwan, author, playwright, leader of the band Black 47
