Reeling from a string of box office flops, aggrieved filmmaker George Lee embarks on a risky stock deal in a desperate attempt to reverse his fortunes. When a statewide blackout thwarts his plans, and unexpected visitors arrive seeking shelter, what was supposed to be a celebratory evening descends into comic chaos as George tries to conceal his financial and other misdeeds. But as the truth is slowly exposed, George has to decide if he’s capable of making the one meaningful gesture that can salvage what he holds most dear.
