Brendan Mulvihill is one of the world’s finest Irish fiddlers, widely acclaimed for his technical prowess and distinctively original style. Raised in England and the U.S., he now makes his home in County Limerick, where he plays frequently with tenor banjo standout Angelina Carberry – Ireland’s Ceoltoir na Bliana (traditional musician of the year) in 2021 – and her button accordionist partner Dan Brouder. The trio’s visit to New York is occasioned by the publication of a massive collection of traditional music assembled by Brendan from the manuscripts of his late father Martin Mulvihill, a west Limerick fiddler and accordionist who taught hundreds of young musicians in New York and New Jersey in the 1970s and ‘80s.
